Co-curricular activities are an important part of a student’s academic life in a school campus. The school conducts various events and programmes for all students to showcase their talents and team spirits. The students are divided into four houses : Seva, Santhi, Santosh and Sahayog, and competitions are conducted, and awards and trophies are presented to the best house for each category.
The following events are conducted during the current academic year :
—> June 1 : The school reopened for Classes VIII to XII.
—> June 4 : The first assembly of the academic year started with the lighting of the lamp. School magazine LOGOS 2018 was also released.
—> June 5 : Ecological worship was conducted in connection with World Environment Day by planting saplings. The guest of honour for the day was Mr. Sippy Pallipuram, highly acclaimed children’s story writer in Malayalam.
—> June 6 : The KG classes commenced. The students and the parents were given a warm welcome by our Manager Rev.Sam.K.Easow , Principal, Head Mistress and the KG teachers.
—> June 11 : Classes for Class XI commenced. They were given a warm welcome by the Manager Achen and Principal.
—> June 12 : Essay Writing Competition – in Malayalam
—> June 13 : Essay Writing Competition – in Hindi
—> June 14 : Essay Writing Competition – in English and Handwriting competition
—> June 21 : International Yoga Day was observed. Mass Yoga was conducted in the auditorium by the students and teachers.
—> June 23 : The prefectorial team to lead the student community during the year was inducted into their office with Investiture Ceremony. Master. Jeremy Mathew Nirmal of class XII- B is the new Head boy and Kumari Megha Gopan of class XII- C is the new Head girl. Rev. Fr. Daniel Thomas was the chief guest of the ceremony.
—> June 26 : First Bulletin board – Class IX. The topic was “Major Environmental Hazards”
—> June 29 : Class Variety programme – for classes I to IV
—> June 30 : Class Variety programme – for classes V to VIII
—> July 2 : Story Writing Competition – in English
—> July 3 : Story Writing Competition – in Malayalam
—> July 4 : Story Writing Competition – in Hindi
—> July 6 : The inter-school art and cultural competition was held. Around 14 schools participated and the theme for this year was “MONSOON”. Shri. P. T. Thomas, MLA inaugurated the opening ceremony and Very Rev. P. T. Thomas, President of MTES, graced the valedictory function and did the honours.
—> July 20 : Moon Day (Chandra Divas) was celebrated. A student dressed in the costume of an alien talked to the students of class VIII about man’s first landing on the moon.
—> July 30,31 : Literary Competition – for SJ1 and SJ2 categories
—> August 1,3 : Literary Competition – for SJ1, SJ2 categories
—> August 2,3 : Literary Competition – for Junior, Senior and Super Senior categories
—> August 4 : Literary Competition – Group items for Junior, Senior and Super Senior categories
—> August 14 : Special assembly conducted in connection with 70th Independence Day Celebrations
—> August 15 : Independence Day celebrated by hoisting the National flag
—> Special assembly was held in connection with Teachers day on September 5th.
—> As part of the Swatch Bharat Abiyan and as per CBSE guidelines the school observed personal hygiene and environment cleanliness week during the first week of September 2018.
—> Surgical Strike Day was observed where students were made to write letters of appreciation to the Indian Soldiers.
—> Campaign for ‘Be Responsible ….. Join hands to promote Cleanliness’ was highlighted by organizing a Cross Country Race on 29th September. It was flagged of by Mrs. Radhamani, C.I. of Info Park Police Station followed by Inter House Debate Competition.
—> Tourism Week depicting various cultures of different states was held from September 24th to September 28th.
—> Melange- An Art exhibition of 31 students of our school was held from 3rd to 7th October at Durbar Hall Art Gallery, Ernakulam, which was inaugurated by Very Rev. P.T Thomas, President of Mar Thoma Educational Society.
—> Anticorruption and Vigilance week was observed during the lst week of October.
—> Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was held to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel .The Children went on a procession around the school with placards titled “ BE UNITED”
—> Kerala day was conducted on November 1, 2018 with special assembly .The highlight of the day was Malayala Manjima where Malayala Kumaran and Malayali Kumari were selected.
—> The annual sports meet for the Primary section was conducted on Saturday 3rd November 2018.
—> Special assembly in connection with Diwali was observed on November 5th.
—> 29th Annual sports Meet was held on 8th& 9th of November2018. Col. G. S. Sandhu was the chief guest of the day.
—> Special assembly was conducted in connection with National Education Day
—> Fancy dress competition for all categories and Inter House one act play competition were held in connection with Children’s Day Celebration on November 14th.
—> National Integration Week was observed from 19TH November to 25th November 2018.Special assemblies were held in a befitting manner to the days assigned involving our students and teachers.
—> From November 26th onwards for 22 days as part of Bhasha Sangam, 22 languages falling under schedule VIII of the constitution of India were familiarized.
—> The House wise bulletin Board presentations for the three terms on Environmental Hazards, Constructive and Destructive aspects of Water,Ideologies of Gandhiji were put up by Classes IX ,VIII, and VII respectively.
—> Last assembly by the Class XII students and their valedictory function was held on 24th& 27th November respectively. The highlight of 27th was the motivational talk given by Binu C Samuel, Director Santhigiri Ashram.
—> Christmas Celebration followed on 20th December 2018 with His Grace Bishop Julius Mar Elias as the Chief Guest.
—> Annual day celebration was held on 21st Dec 2018 .Justice Jacob Benjamin Koshy was the chief guest of the day and gave away the trophies
—> Amarthos, Reunion of the Ex-Students of 2004 batch was conducted in the school auditorium on 28th December where they honoured their teachers.
—> Spectra, the Art and Science Exhibition was held from 15th to 19th January 2019.
