The Mar Thoma Public School Kindergarten was started in the year 1990. The Kindergarten classes and the Playschool found their humble beginnings in Panampilly Nagar, in a building offered by the Founder Member, Mr. Kurian Paulose. The President and the first Board members visited the Middle-Eastern countries like UAE, Kuwait, Muscat, Qatar, Bahrain etc. and admitted around 200 members to the Society. It was then that they ventured on the construction of the existing building. Kindergarten is the the fruition of a fervent passion of established members of the Marthoma Community in Kochi to provide an educational institution of highest standards at affordable cost.

Over the next 27 years the school strength grew, now nearing 1500 students. Despite this exponential growth the Kindergarten always sought new means and ways to continuously evolve and become the change leader and a benchmark for all to emulate.

The new separate block exclusive for the Kindergarten is itself in a sprawling campus with ample open space, playing areas, outdoor and indoor activities, eco – friendly garden with lawn, swimming pool, highly hygienic surrounding, excellent academics based with activities, very large amphitheater, kids' library, computer labs, smart classrooms and motherly care.
