SAHAYOG

‘Winners are not people who never fail, but people who never quit’

The house activities of our school have always been an opportunity for the students to grow holistically to face the future brightly. The house activities of the academic year 2019-2020 were flagged off with the investiture ceremony during which the torch bearers for Sahayog house were announced. We had Ankur Kumar ( XI A ) and Ann Alice Philip ( XI B ) as the captains, Milen Thomas Mammen ( IX B ) and Varsha Harikumar ( XI B) as the vice captains and Abana Basheer ( XI C), Reema Reji ( XI C), Sara Alias ( IX B),

Jessica Sara Shibu ( IX A), Manaasvi Shyam ( IX B), Raunak Rajesh (IX B) as the prefects. It was a great honour to have Nikhil Jolly ( XI A) the games captain of the school in our house. The house activities were guided by the very supportive and motivating teachers Mrs. Cindu Balagopal, Mrs. Binu Thomas and Mrs. Philda.

The second position for the first bulletin board competition was a real boost for the upcoming events of the year. The house members participated enthusiastically in the literary and art competitions and secured many individual prizes.

Our team bagged the second position for cinematic dance, flash mob and make an ad. competitions and the third position for Nadanpattu.

We celebrated the most popular festival of Kerala, Onam, by securing the second position for floral carpet, fresh flower arrangement and poster making.

Our members proved that they are no less in fighting valiantly with words while participating in the debate competitions and securing many prizes. The Children’s Day celebration was made a grand success by Sahayog house members participating in the fancy dress competitions. The one act play “King Lear” staged by our house bagged the first position and Ankur Kumar (XI B) was crowned the best actor.

The sportsman spirit of our members was evident when they participated with great vigour in the cross country race and the annual sports meet. Along with many prizes won, the first and the third position bagged by the strong boys and girls for tug of war respectively was a moment of joy and pride. Janitta Jiji (VII B) of Sahayog house was declared the junior girls’ sports champion.

Finally on the day of announcement of achievements and success Sahayog house was called to receive the Throw ball trophy for the academic year when the members jubilated their efforts for the whole year on the stage. Ann Alice Philip (XI B) was selected as the House champion for the year.

“Sahayog” means cooperation. Without the cooperation of each and every members of the house, the house activities of the year would have not been successful. The determination, hard work and dedication of each member of Sahayog house and the fierce competition put up by our competitor houses helped us showcase our talents to our best. The grace of God Almighty had been with us in all our endeavors this year and will remain so always.
